Providers advertise the fee. We measure what your recipient gets after the fee and the exchange-rate markup — read off each provider’s own quote, dated, and checked again on a schedule.

Why trust these numbers
How we compare
01 · Read at the source
We read the real quote
Every figure comes from the provider’s own screen at a stated amount and moment, with the time recorded — never an advert, a press release, or a rewrite of their marketing.
02 · One benchmark
Measured against the mid-market rate
The exchange-rate markup is usually the biggest hidden cost. We show it against an independent mid-market reference — the ECB rate where it publishes one — so a “zero fee” offer can’t hide it.
03 · Dated, twice
Every figure shows its date
Each comparison shows when the benchmark rate was taken and when each provider’s quote was captured — separately, because a fresh benchmark does not make an old quote current. If a quote is stale, the page says so, and we never rank a provider by what it pays us.

Afromium is not a bank or a transfer service, and no link on this site earns us a commission yet. If that changes, the link will be marked — and it will never affect which provider ranks first. That’s decided by what your recipient receives, full stop.
